The Twelve Days After Thanksgiving:

Throughout: Listen to oldies 103.3 and rock out to Christmas tunes.

1.     Buy, put up, and decorate the Christmas tree in addition to putting up all other holiday décor.  RandC Farms is my favorite spot in town to buy fresh wreaths and trees: http://randcfarms-simons.com/ This small family run business is top notch when it comes to service. There is also a chicken coop on site, staff are making wreaths on premise, and there is a cozy fire up and running to keep warm. They have a beautiful selection of all sorts of holiday green decor at reasonable prices. Fun experience! Come on down.  And…eat left over turkey

2.     Make prints of holiday card for Christmas cards.  Usually this would be done by Shutterfly but due to procrastination I am left to the CVS self-service photo booth and I am a fish out of water.  Assistance please! And…eat left over turkey

3.     Write out Christmas cards. And…eat left over turkey

4.     Take a bike ride around town to see all the decorations around town that people put up.  I love seeing the wreath up on the lighthouse. And…eat left over turkey

5.     Mail out Christmas Cards. And…eat left over turkey

6.     Decide how to give back- Gift wrapping with the Scituate/Cohasset Newcomers Club http://scnewcomers.com/ at the Knights of Columbus to support Scituate Community Christmas http://www.scituatecommunitychristmas.org/news.html  And…eat left over turkey

7.     Buy some gifts downtown on Scituate Harbor to support local businesses and vote on the wreaths.  And…eat left over turkey

8.     Watch “Elf” and laugh hysterically throughout the whole movie as if it were my first time seeing it. And…eat left over turkey

9.     Make Christmas cookies from recipes I cut out of magazines with my mom and hope they come out as beautiful as they look in the pictures…..  (Not very optimistic.)  They may be Charlie Brown Christmas cookies. And…eat left over turkey

10.  Scituate Christmas Stroll http://www.scituatecommunitychristmas.org/about.htm And…eat left over turkey

11.  Look forward to receiving holiday cards and putting them on display.  I love cards! And…eat left over turkey

12.  Pick out a festive outfit to wear for the upcoming Jingle Run.  Always a fun time! http://www.baevents.com/jinglebell/
 And…eat left over turkey

Laura’s Leftover Sliders:

Use left over dinner rolls
Add: white turkey meat, winter squash, gravy, peas, and stuffing.
Dress with cran-mayo.  (Mix a lil mayo with your cranberry sauce to make cran-mayo)

Yum!

  1. That was a fun blog. The sandwiches look good. Throw in a few oysters also.
